The model
JTM is a solo practice built for direct, high-trust work. You work with Jacob when he is the best lawyer for your task. If he is not, he will put you directly in relationship with someone who is.
When a matter calls for expertise outside the firm’s lane, JTM draws on trusted relationships with other attorneys and firms. The goal is always the same: get the right lawyer on the right matter, without wasting your time.
Jacob takes on work where his experience can make a real difference.

Jacob Martin, Esq.
Jacob brings legal judgment, founder empathy, and a dealmaker’s instinct to work spanning media, technology, capital, and culture.
His background includes building an early stage legal tech company as a founder, raising an early stage venture capital fund as an investor, and advising clients in emerging industries before the playbooks were written, including as one of the first lawyers to attempt to demystify the NFT landscape. Today, he works selectively with companies and individuals where his transactional experience and cross-industry perspective can create real leverage. He is licensed in California.
